Prepare your I-751. Right from your phone.
Scan your documents, check the details, and answer simple questions. Watch your answers come together on a draft of the form, without wrestling with a PDF.
Independent DIY software. Not legal advice, and not a USCIS service.
- Scan with your phone
Camera scanning in the mobile app. Uploads on the web.
- You confirm every detail
Nothing from a scan becomes an answer until you say so.
- Questions, not boxes
Plain-language topics instead of numbered form parts.
- A live draft of the form
See where each answer lands on the official I-751.
The form speaks in boxes. We ask like a person.
The official I-751 is organized for the people who process it. GreenCardFile reorganizes the work around your life: about you, your marriage, your home, your family. One clear question at a time.
Details you’ve already confirmed from your documents are skipped, so you only answer what’s still missing.
From the kitchen table to a finished draft.
Start with what you already have. A few documents and a little time is enough to begin.
- 01
Bring your documents.
Scan your green card and marriage certificate with the app’s camera, or upload files you already have. Front, back and every page stay together in your filing.
- 02
Check the details.
We read what we can from your scans. You compare, correct anything that’s off, and confirm. Your documents are a starting point, and your answers are yours.
- 03
Answer what’s left.
Guided questions skip what you’ve confirmed and focus on what’s missing. Need a break? Come back later and pick up where you left off.
- 04
See it on the form.
Open a draft of the official form any time to see exactly where your answers land. Change an answer and the draft follows.
A place for every part.
Not another pile of paperwork. A clear view of what you have, what you’ve answered, and what’s next.
Interactive illustration with fictional details. Nothing you type here is uploaded or saved.

Clear about what we are. And what we’re not.
Immigration paperwork deserves honesty. Here is exactly where GreenCardFile helps, and where it stops.
GreenCardFile does
- Keeps your documents, answers and form draft in one filing
- Reads supported details from your green card and marriage certificate
- Lets you check, correct and confirm every detail
- Asks only what’s still missing, in plain language
- Shows your answers on a draft of the official form
- Syncs across phone and computer once your account is linked
GreenCardFile doesn’t
- Give legal advice or decide whether you qualify
- Judge whether your evidence is enough
- Submit anything to USCIS
- Produce a filing-ready petition today. The preview is a draft
- Act for, or with, the U.S. government
For current instructions and fees, use the official USCIS I-751 page (opens in a new tab). For advice about your situation, talk to a qualified immigration attorney or accredited representative.

Clear answers before you start. Still unsure? The I-751 page covers the current scope in detail.
When can I start my filing?
GreenCardFile is launching soon, starting with joint I-751 preparation. The web and mobile apps are not publicly available yet. Join the launch notification list, or try the interactive tour with fictional details today.
What can I prepare with GreenCardFile?
We’re starting with I-751 joint-filing preparation. You can organize documents, work through guided questions, and see your answers in a draft of the form. Support for other filings is planned, but not available yet.
Is this a law firm or a government service?
Neither. GreenCardFile is an independent DIY paperwork organizer. We don’t provide legal advice, decide whether you qualify, or submit anything to USCIS. If you need advice about your situation, speak with a qualified immigration attorney or accredited representative.
Do I need all my documents before I begin?
You don’t need to gather your entire filing first. Having your green card and marriage certificate nearby gives you a useful starting point. You can return to your filing as you collect other documents; some steps need information or a document before you can continue.
Can I work on my phone and computer?
Yes. Link your filing to an email or Google account to return to the same work on another device. A guest session alone does not give you access across devices.
Do I get to check the details from my documents?
Always. You review and can edit the details before they become answers in your filing. Your confirmation matters, and you can return to change your answers later.
Can I submit the form from GreenCardFile?
No. GreenCardFile does not file with USCIS. The current form preview is an unsigned draft, not a filing-ready petition. You remain responsible for checking the current official instructions and completing the filing requirements.
Can I try it without sharing my information?
Yes. The product tour on this website uses fictional details and needs no sign-in. It does not create a filing, upload documents, or save what you type. Please use sample information, not your own personal details.
A little order goes a long way.
